Event Details

Were you at the 2010 Forest Storytelling Festival? Heard the buzz about Virginia storyteller Kim Weitkamp’s workshop and tales? Kim will be back in the Northwest in May, and you’re invited!

Please join us for her workshop and/or house concert the weekend of May 20-21. See descriptions below.

Weekend Intensive Workshop
May 20–21
Fri. 6–9 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Baltuck/Garrard residence, Edmonds

Email nbaltuck@earthlink.net or call 425-776-1175 for directions.

Kim’s workshop includes the following topics, with emphasis on those subjects that meet participants’ particular needs:
- story building (tools, techniques, sources)
- story coaching (DIY, fixes)
- storytelling (characters, presence, style)
- story business (marketing, recording, fees)

Come learn from an expert storyteller who has experience telling with teens to elders. Kim will guide you to a new level of storytelling performance. (And workshop attendees get a discount on their evening concert ticket!)

House Concert
May 21, Saturday, 7 p.m.
Baltuck/Garrard residence, Edmonds

Email nbaltuck@earthlink.net or call 425-776-1175 for directions

$10 SSG and workshop participants/$12 nonmembers

A commanding presence, impeccable comic timing, perfectly woven stories and a velvet voice provide a “hear a pin drop” performance peppered with moments of raucous laughter. Kim’s quick wit, genuine care of the audience, and beautifully delivered original stories and songs gently pull back the cover and reveal the sleeping child in all of us.
